My bad, looks like it was indeed a hoax. -
Re: Margaret Thatcher has died, according to Carla BruniI don't remember my exact words obviously, but I definitely did not say "hurray".(Original post by TheCaledonian)
did you say that when Saddam was hung Not comparing the two but merely making the point that sometimes the death of a person is something to celebrate
Some goes for OBL.
I can't say I was sad to see them go but I didn't celebrate. -
Re: Margaret Thatcher has died, according to Carla Bruniwhy don't you like her?(Original post by Stomm)
Boo, getting me all excited like that...
Actually I remember just such a thread appearing some time last year, it does seem to come up every now and then... -
Re: Margaret Thatcher has died, according to Carla BruniThat be true but comments from people who wish to celebrate her death are really pathetic and make me disgusted with elements of the left.(Original post by sliceofcake)
I understand what you're saying but she'll have to die some day, even if today is not that day.
I really do wonder if people like that have any morals at all. -

Re: Margaret Thatcher has died, according to Carla BruniAnd those who create hoaxes about the deaths of others.(Original post by Borderline)
I think there is something very wrong with people who celebrate the deaths of others. -
Re: Margaret Thatcher has died, according to Carla BruniOf course, i sincerely hope that any member of the Conservative Party would have enough of a brain not to be so simple.(Original post by Mr Dangermouse)

I deplore Gordon Brown, he is an idiotic backstabber and for that reason i have a cold hatred for him which is understandable but anybody who would go to the extent of celebrating his death really is a vile human being. -

I will never be happy a fellow human has died, no matter what evil they may have done, they don't deserve it. -
Re: Margaret Thatcher has died, according to Carla BruniWell to start with she destroyed the industrial base of the British economy, ran down the health service and schools to such a degree that it took huge investments from the Blair government to start making any kind of impact, literally wasted the tax revenue from North Sea Oil on tax breaks and breaking the Coal Miners.(Original post by maxcartwright)
why don't you like her?
The list really is rather exhaustive. Other than to tighten union laws there is not one thing that she did that was in any way positive. Even the Falklands War was caused by thoughtless defence cuts at the time...
