How to not freak out when taking an exam?I'm doing AS at the moment, and I've got my exams starting next week. Usually I'm alright doing past papers at home, and I do pretty well, but sometimes when I'm actually sitting the exam, if I hit a question that I can't do I'll panic and won't be able to think through it clearly, so then I'll decide to 'skip it' and come back to it later, but I spend the whole time worrying about that question, and end up panicking with all the other questions. Any tips on how to keep my cool?

Just force yourself to forget about the question whilst you do the others? Or force yourself to think about why you can't do it and then hopefully you'll be able to?
I had this in my German AS written paper last year, so I know what you mean. I wasn't sure about the first question, then I worried about this throughout the whole paper. I then spent the entire summer worrying about a few individual questions that I couldn't do, it turns out I did fine and I shouldn't have wasted all the time worrying. I know it's hard, but just try and forget about things like this! -
