If you're looking for pretty chilled sounding dubstep; Burial is a pretty good option (the people of TSR seem to ****ing love the hell out of him)

If you're into the louder more bass heavy dubstep then you've got ****ing tons of choice but I'll just link 16bit

...And if you want something really in between and still pretty awesome then:

According to a friend of mine, dubstep begins and ends at Burial.

People seem to like him, so you may as well start there

Liquid Stranger is really good, he mixes quite a few styles into a lot of his songs so he has quite a unique sound. Aside from the ones already mentioned in this thread, I also think Rusko is quite good. You might like Magnetic Man, I do, a lot of people don't though.

I would be hesitant to even call Burial dubstep tbh he exists in his own kind of hybrid genre, easiest suggestion would be to go to the Dubstep Soc thread but I'll give you a couple of examples

Please don't rain on me with negs as I am in no way suggesting that this is a great example of good dubstep but thought people who listen to dubstep might find it surprising that Cher Lloyd has done this:

On a serious note though, I think the most known / commercial artists who produce dubstep tracks would be Skrillex, Burial, Skream, Magnetic Man and Deadmau5 has also made a few dubstep tracks and this could be a good place to start as I did. Just youtube them and have a look through some of their music - remixes of songs you already like are also a good idea.

This UKF mix actually has quite a few different tracks on it and while I didn't like it at first, it's grown on me (I'm fairly new to dubstep too). Might be worth a listen:

There's a lot of disagreement, even within the ITKs, about what good dubstep is, just as you'd find with any genre.

Personal favourites of mine include Benga, Breakage, Pinch, (in particular) Joker, Emalkay, Phaeleh and Digital Mystikz.

    Isn't "good dubstep" a paradox?

    To answer the question -

Q - "Can anyone recommend any good dubstep?"

A - No, as none exists

Is that not just a rework of Midnight Line Request by Skream?

Nope, can honestly say I have never heard that comparison. Midnight Request Line is basically a slow synth-driven grime instrumental with the only percussion being a clap and hats, whereas Qawwali is a Middle Eastern-influenced tune built around a Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan sample and using all sorts of percussion from tabla to maracas. Maybe you're right but I can't say I notice it

Nah, apart from them both being dubstep tunes they don't sound alike at all, if anything they're at very different ends of the dubstep production spectrum. You might be getting your tunes muddled up. Not that being a rework of Midnight Request Line is necessarily a bad thing...:
