Re: anyone recommend any good dubstep?Committing a blasphemy in Dubstep, by mentioning Skrillex. I am just warning you in the future.(Original post by littleone271)
If you're after something with massive drops then listen to 'call 911 now' by skrillex. I think it's the only one of his I like. Also flux pavillion are good. -
Re: anyone recommend any good dubstep?Didn't know there were any Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan fans left in the world O.O(Original post by JCC-MGS)
Nope, can honestly say I have never heard that comparison. Midnight Request Line is basically a slow synth-driven grime instrumental with the only percussion being a clap and hats, whereas Qawwali is a Middle Eastern-influenced tune built around a Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan sample and using all sorts of percussion from tabla to maracas. Maybe you're right but I can't say I notice it -

Re: anyone recommend any good dubstep?Well it might not technically qualify but I'm sure the uneducated ear probably wouldn't know the difference. People get unnecessarily touchy about these things.(Original post by Kruz)

Re: anyone recommend any good dubstep?
If you want to go all the way to the deeper stuff, which is what the real heads are into, this mix might give you a flavour.
I did it for a radio show a few months ago. It's not perfect but there are some good tunes. Let me know if you like it and I can find a tracklist.

Good to see another female who's really into 'real dubstep' (I don't like to say that, but you know what I mean). We're a rare breed.
