Find the number of terms in each of these geometric progressions

3,6,12,...,768 well i just want to know how to do this :biggrin: then ill know all of em

My english is rubbish what i wanted to say was i would appreciate some assistance on how to find the number of terms in the sequence. WOOPS WRONG FORUM

un=arn1u_n = ar^{n-1}

You've been given unu_n and aa. You can work out rr which leaves you to plug the numbers to find nn.
