HELP with IB SL Physics, PLEASE!
My exam SL Physics is in 14 hours! :ahhhhh: I'm terrified! I've never written an IB exam before; this will be my first.

Can anyone give me some advice? I've been doing practice papers on my own, and I've mostly been getting around 6, and some 5. I'm terrified for paper 2! :'( I'm not too good at math, and the formulae I see in the mark schemes are nowhere to be found in the data booklet, so this is very frightening for me.

I want to go into theoretical physics, so I really need a good mark on this exam. I've got most of the theory down, but I'm hopeless when it comes to the problems, and how to solve them. Can anyone offer some tips?

I find the easiest topics are waves and simple harmonic motion, and the hardest are fields and forces and electricity. I'm not all that good at mechanics (forces, energy, and momentum) either, but I can manage with some of the questions.

When I look at example questions, and see what is done, it makes sense, but when I try the next question, there is always something different, and I get confused. :banghead: This happens even more on the exam when I see questions needing formulae I've never seen and that I'm not given, and when they talk about forces I've never heard of. I guess I'm looking on tips on how to solves IB physics problems.

I'm sorry for my long posts, and if I'm not asking this in the right section, or whatever else. I'm just so scared for my exam tomorrow!

good luck man, wish i could help but physics is not something you could really "cram" for. At this stage go over the Syllabus Guide and learn the definitions because those are easy points that people often miss. As for understanding content, what you know now is pretty much what you know! Just have a clear head you'll be surprised how much comes to you in the exam if you're thinking straight, after all you have been studying this subject for 2 years!

Good luck again, I'm also writing... HL Physics in 3 hours! Im so effing nervous... Need to get the elusive 7

Thanks. I guess I knew I won't be able to necessarily learn any new information this late. :/

3 hours? Higher Level Physics?! I would be so nervous! I'm not even doing well with standard level. GOOD LUCK!!!

Is there a certain topic that would be beneficial to study the most? One that is the most prominent on IB exams? One they give the hardest questions on? One that is frequently in Part A of paper 2?

    Exam in: 5 hours!!
