prom make up done for free
hi everyone, just wondering if someone had any suggestions for me. My prom is next week and I want to look nice obvs but I'm not great at applying make up, I wear some foundation and black eyeliner most of the time, I don't even apply eye shadow when I go out because I have no idea how or what colors etc etc...
so I was wondering if I could go into John Lewis and get it done by one of those girls who work there and look like porcelain dolls..

which brand though? I have no idea... also, how much would it be (if any!) or caN I just buy one of their products? do you have to tell them if you're going to buy somehthing?

I don't mind paying just want to know if I should tell them in advance.
Also, do they mind if you tell them what you want? And how many hours in advance should I go before my prom? do I have to book?

SO MANY QUESTIONS... hope someone can help me

If you go to a make up counter and book a makeover it usually costs around £25. But this is redeemable against products. So your makeover is free and you're just making a commitment to buy some products afterwards - this works quite nicely.

And as for which brand, whichever brand can fit you in at such short notice. The MAC counter near me for example has a 6 week waiting list, longer for Saturdays...

Tell them what sort of thing you want, what colour your dress is etc. And let them know how long it has to last.

    BOOK!

Get in touch with your local college offering a beauty course. If you're willing to be made over by trainees then you could get it for free.

If you already have some makeup like eyeshadows etc, it might be worth looking up YouTube clips on how to apply?

If not, the other comments are good ideas too

one question, do you have all of your make up products from the same brand ? or do you mix from different ones?

It's generally just that specific counter. And the ones that do it are usually fairly pricey unfortunately.
