Romantic comedys

Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

    Romantic comedys
Hi, I love romantic comedy films but im single so I dont want to constantly watch films were people get to together and live happily ever etc. So does anyone know of any romantic comedy type films that dont end up with a girl and guy being madly in love?

Bruce Almighty? It's more comedy but has a romantic side too and they don't end up together..

Does the title of the genre "romantic" kinda not give it away little for ya - just a little bit. No. Really.

    Ok then

It's a different kinda humour. It's not just because there's sex involved.

Miss Congeniality - They do get together but that's not the main plot point of the film.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding - Once again, of course they are romantically involved but the comedy of the film comes from the family dynamic.

Surely giving you the film that you're looking for will spoil the outcome for you?

    The Proposal

It's not exactly what you're asking for but for most of the film the leads can't stand eachother :p:.

500 Days of Summer is the only one I can think of where they don't live happily ever after.

It's A Boy Girl Thing and Wild Child don't have too much romance, but, if I'm being honest, most rom coms have a general formula where two people fall in love by the end so there aren't many to recommend!

    How about Kill Bill?

She does kinda love him I suppose, she loves him so much that she's hunting him down in order to cut him in two with a samurai sword throughout the entire film, but hey! That might appeal to you.

How about One Day? Its more of a tearjerker I guess, but it does have some comedy.

I just recommended this movie on another thread but 'It's complicated' is a brilliant movie and it sounds like it's just what you are after as it's not really that romantic

It's kind of sad, but "P.S. I love you"?
