    Need help with student accommodation
Last year I was enrolled and was there for freshers week before I had to take a leave of absence for mental health reasons.

I was told my by supervisor before I requested the leave of absence that I would be guaranteed accommodation upon returning just like any other first year student.
However the accommodation services have since told me this is not true and I am not guaranteed accommodation because I am not a first year student.

They also told me I am not eligible to apply for second year accommodation because I am not a student.

Do you see the catch-22 here? Apparently I am both a student and not a student at the same time! amazing!

I just don't know what to do, I feel hopeless.

Speak to your accommodation people again, and also your supervisor.

Won't case scenario is living in private housing.

Have you tried going through the disability support office? Whilst you might not see yourself as disabled, they will count MH issues as being disabilities, and so you could wangle it that you need to go into halls because of your disability
