Urgent question!!!! Oystercard with travelcard
I need to go out tomorrow and will be travelling in London between zones 1-4 (or 1-6). I topped up my Oystercard (it has more than £10 on it) but now I realise that I should have put the travelcard option on my Oyster.
Sorry if that doesn't make sense, but is there a way to get travelcard on my Oyster? Or do I need to pay more money to get a travelcard on my Oyster?? My dad says maybe, but we are both unsure? -
Re: Urgent question!!!! Oystercard with travelcardIf it is a daily travelcard, then the oyster will automatically deduct money on your card until the cap is reached, then it stops so you don't need to put a travelcard option on it as the cap is the same as the value of a travelcard. You only need to do that if it is for a weekly or monthly travelcard.(Original post by Dee Leigh)

Re: Urgent question!!!! Oystercard with travelcardIt is off peak tomorrow, so Oyster will be the cheapest. Don't buy a paper ticket.(Original post by Dee Leigh)
Aparently the capped amounts depends on the times you are travelling.
I think the best option would be to by the paper ticket (and try to get a discount).
