    Not Meeting Entry Requirements
Hi I've applied for Stirling, and the entry grades are BBC
At the moment I'm on A(Will be A* if exam goes well)CC, and I can't see my grades going up
If I ended up with these grades, would Stirling decline me straight away , or is there any realistic chance they might still accept me?

I've heard you can phone up and negotiate after results come in. They may have a space or two and you may get in there before clearance. Initially I think they will automatically decline you though.

depends how competitve the course is and what subject the A is in. with an ACC the ucas points are the same as BBC so its comlpetely up to the uni, an A* would improve your chances quite abit, but i wouldnt think your chances of getting in arent bad.

If your offer states BBC then that is what they expect you to achieve at least to confirm your place. If you do not achieve that Stirling may decide to accept you anyway or reject you. It all depends on how many people they have wanting to do the course with the correct grades (Most unis over offer for number of places they have) and also how much they liked your application. No one can tell for sure except the uni on results day when they know how many people have the grades. The best thing you can do now is work hard to achieve the best possible grades you can.

See my post above. It depends on what the entry conditions are. If they have offered the OP a grade offer he has to meet it with grades. If it is a ucas points offer then OP will be fine. You can't know for sure OP will be fine as even the uni doesn't know that now. Some people have been rejected by missing their offer by 1UMS. Some people have been accepted even though they missed their offer by several grades. You just can't tell.

Unis can take some people who miss their offer, and by exceeding one part you'd be near the top of the pile of people they want to accept. It's not guaranteed though.
