im confident in doing questions on, Murder, Theft, Robbery, Burglary, Strict Liability, and Mens Rea. Do you guys think that is enough? should I do insanity as well? as most people are certain it will come up?

How can attempts come up at all, if it is the special study paper this year?
There's still a chance attempts may come up. Last year the special study was involuntary manslaughter and it still came up in both papers in Jan and June. You never know.

Yeah go over defences just in case esp insanity because they'll put it in somewhere most probs a section A.

Spec says all we need to know about insanity is: Insanity: M’Naghten rules; effects of insanity as a defence.

You're wrong. Attempts won't come up in section C. It came up in C on Jan 2012
No im right. It's mentioned on the specification that whatever topic comes up for the g154 paper will be on g153 for the dilemma boards and it was confirmed because my law teacher got in contact with the exam board

Well all I've done so far is actus reus mens rea strict liability and the defences, I was thinking of just learning the evaluations for those topics and just the current law for all the offences, what do you think? I'm gonna have to really cram over the next 4 days and try and get some time to actually see if I can write everything in 50 minutes. Yeah she has given us model answers for everything, do you thing the examiner marks down if they think everyone wrote the same answer? I really want to do better in that one to balance of this one because I prefer it just being on one topic but im guessing it's not as easy to get the marks as I thought it would be
Since we're running out time for me don't waist time taking rims of notes. But make ballpoint of facts and make a02 in your head as you go and it's crap how you don't get 50 min ln 50 marker, it's something like 44, and for attempts the story was that we received a model answer and we all memorised it but the model didn't include the points the real eam wanted so most of got crap marks. And mark scheme looks specific as you need every end and point of the case that comes up in exam (n) sorry for slow reply busy atm and I forgot attempts mark scheme for you but I try get itsoon poszible

Just wondering also, on sections A and B... How long would you take to plan your answer?

    Heyy! Omg I know same!
Don't worry, I'm sure insanity will come up. Probably as a section A. I would advise you to revise Murder and VM as it always comes up but didn't in Jan.

Dw I've left out strict liability (which I hate) so don't worry. Yeah my special study is attempts too. It will either be one of two things; they won't put attempts anywhere or they'll put it everywhere. Go over it just incase. Remember case law as that's is the most important thing.
What else are you having problems with?
I dislike defences soooo much! Don't remember anything

I'll go over attempts then, but if we get it for question 3 then we don't have to include cases do we? So i'll just go over it without remembering cases oh god I'm so nervous, I'm just generally having trouble remembering everything! Its not so much that the all of the content is difficult as opposed to the amount of it we have to learn Did murder+VM not come up at all in january? are you thinking it might come up in section A or B?

    Hows your revision going?

Murder and voluntary m did come up as a Section A,
Its likely that theyll test the application of the changes of the partial defences so section B or C id say

Is it advisable to write all A01 first, then talk about all the A02? How I've learnt it all, its easier for me to do it this way than to try and incorporate A01 and A02 at the same time.

For Section B, this can be a pretty good approach- you can set out all of the law first, and then afterwards apply it using facts of the scenario. It's somewhat less advisable to use that structure for the essay though, as you're meant to incorporate AO1/AO2 in each paragraph. So say you're doing an essay about the effectiveness of the insanity defence, it's better to write one paragraph setting out what a disease of the mind is, and evaluating the effective of that, before moving onto other elements of the defence and evaluating them in a similar way (if that makes sense?).

there has always been a murder/manslaughter question for section B, so I reckon that definitely should be revised

How come involuntary manslaughter wasn't in section c in the 2011 paper then?
