My parents bought a Park Home (residential status so can be occupied all year) in Aberystwyth Holiday Village in August 2011. (Location is Town centre Aberystwyth and easily walk able to the sea front and Railway Station and on a direct bus route to the University).

My sister and her fiancé used this accommodation for her Fine Art studies during the Academic year 2011/12.

She has since left her course at Aberystwyth University and my parents are keen to sell the Park Home.

It has two bedrooms (single and large double) bathroom, kitchen and a new luxurious double sofa bed for visiting Parents to use in the living room,. (It is a nice clean Park Home)

It has been upgraded this year to include double glazing, a new set of steps for easy access, new fridge/freezer, includes a new dehumidifier (essential) and an alarm system. (the smoke alarms are also new) (the 37 inch TV and sky box are negotiable)

It's a great opportunity for a couple to use whilst studying at Aberystwyth University.

My parents are asking to get their money back at (Edit: See post below for update). (This costs about £75 to £85 per month with a remortgage (interest only), they set this for two years)

Site fees for the Holiday Park are currently set by the Holiday Park owners at £43.50 per week.

Price reduction



My parents are going to have to pay an Estate Agent from the middle of June to show people round and market the property at a cost of about £1k. So they are reducing the price to £31,500 for the short term.



With normal University accommodation at £85 per week (cheapest), this detached accommodation will cost about the same for a couple, effectively half price accommodation saving thousands over a three year course. (I recon £10k to £12k)



Compared to other single glazed empty Park Homes, this comes fully furnished, double glazed and ready for a student to move in (a student is just moving out), my parents have also decided to include the 37 inch tv, in the price.



To be clear – the beds, TV, Gas/electric Cooker, two electric oil filled radiators, new sofa bed, bins, new foldable chair, cupboards shown, tables, smoke alarms, dehumidifier, new letter box, building alarm (new Yale, 4 PIRs and telephone access) and newly purchased outside steps are included.



Not included are things like plates, knives, forks, computer, clock, microwave, kettle, etc.



So ideal cheap accommodation where the parents are the landlords and it saves the students thousands a year in accommodation costs.

A bit of an update, I was staying in the home this week when the floods were happening in Wales after being kicked out of my house. Thankfully because all the residential homes are on the hill in the holiday Village, I was not affected at all, and instead had an interesting view of the site flooding.

So the Accomodation is still avaliable to buy and now I have first hand experience of living there for a few days, it's a really nice little get-up and I'd say great for a couple, for one it was a little roomy.
