I just booked accommodation in Norton! Going to be studying Fashion Management! Staying in room 101 but I forgot what floor it was on. I just rapidly clicked on an available room because I was afraid they'd go!
    I'm studying fashion management too!

If it helps anyone, I called the residence manager at Norton Court and she assured me it really isn't that bad - break ins were due to windows being left open and she walks home every day when it's dark and for five years nothing has happened to her! Tbh, I'm happy there's someone on site 24-7. All that matters to meeee!

Yeah, I'd never leave the halls after dark on my own! Quite a few people got mugged and one of my friends had a man try and drag her by her arm down an alleyway. There were also a few shootings nearby and the shop round the corner was always getting broken into. It is quite entertaining though, when you're on your way to a 9am lecture and there's already a crowd of people around a bench, drinking own brand cider.
    hahaha!
Silly question, but what comes in the kitchen already and what do we have to bring? OH and how thin are the walls!? I'm a light sleeper

The kitchen comes with an oven, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle. Need to bring all your own cooking equipment.
Thin enough that I could always hear what my neighbour had on TV. And depending which way you're room faces you might have to put up with the noise from the courtyard at night... which is normally quite loud as it comes through the vents above the window!

Oh and when I was there we used to have a fire alarm most nights! Enjoy those, I know I don't miss them at all!

I am being negative, but the place was liveable, but since I've now experienced private halls, I'd never go back!

Think it may vary with which block you're in, but in my block (Block 1) 1,2,3 and 4 were facing away from the courtyard and 5 and 6 faced onto the carpark. Don't worry about the questions, I don't mind answering
Best thing about Norton was that you could order packages and front office signed for delivery and kept them there for you. I ordered some massive things off the internet, like a suitcase... and didn't have to worry about being in when the delivery came.

That sounds brilliant as I am SO lazy that I'm ordering my Asda groceries :P I am so cool. So are 1,2,3 next to each other? And I'll be in block 2, if you look at the pic of norton which bit is that? Like right by the car park?

Haha, no point in Asda when Aldi is literally a 2 minute walk across the road!
Blocks 1 and 2 are next door, then 3 is in the corner... 4 and 5 are then next to that. And 6 and 7 are in a seperate building.
All blocks are right by the carpark... can't find any pictures showing block 2 anywhere :/

There's one common room above reception. Never knew anyone to use it in all the time I was there though, few uncomfy chairs in there and an ancient TV!
Every flat has a kitchen and living area though, which are in the same room, but they're just for that specific flat.
