    Higher English ~ Hamlet
I'm currently in S6 and studying 'Hamlet' for Drama, 'Job History' by Annie Proulx for short story and three Carol Ann Duffy poems - 'Havisham', 'Litany' and 'War Photographer'. I detest Carol Ann Duffy by the way.

Anyway, that's the background knowledge. My biggest concern is not what I know about Hamlet ( I know the plot and story extremely well as I have a passion for plays and drama as it is what I want to study after I leave ) it is writing a critical essay on Hamlet. We've never practised writing any sort of essay on Hamlet and I was wondering if any one had any example essays or any tips or general help.

Any response/feedback would be greatly appreciated for writing an essay on Hamlet.

Main things that come up with Hamlet or can be twisted towards Hamlet:

    - turning point/important scene (same thing basically)
    - contrast between characters
    - conflict between chracters
    - important theme

Yeah. I saw you post this somewhere else and saved it in my notes - it's a really helpful list.

    Thank you so much.
