Anyone applied for the Whitehall Summer Internship?
Hey, I've applied for the Whitehall residential programme provided by the Social Mobility Foundation http://www.socialmobility.org.uk/res...al-programmes/

I was wondering if anyone else had? How long do we find out if were successful? It'd be also great to hear from someone who went on the residential programme last year.Thanks.

I've interviewed candidates for the summer internships in the past and we matched people to placements the month before the programme starts generally. Although the scheme I've been involved in is the Fast Stream one and the admin timetable is individual in each department as far as making placement offers. This said I'd anticipate you'll find out in July. They are fantastic schemes and everyone who joined my Department through this enjoyed it. Good luck!

This is the other scheme which is the one I've helped run for a Department before and would recommend you taking a look at if you've completed your degree - applications are in November but you don't find out until nearer the summer holidays:

I've applied for the Whitehall intership also. I'm rather excited about this intership, I only hope I actually get onto it. Do you know when you find out if you have a place?

Well apparently it's a month before the internship- so July I believe I'm really excited too, its such an amazing opportunity! How did you find the application process? It took me a good month and a bit to do so it'd be a shame not to get in lol

Yeah I had to email my assessment questions in too even though I completed it early. I think there's something wrong with the site cause it kept deleting my info ha- good luck to you too! Which Government Department are you wanting to work in?
