Transport from Kent Uni to London
I'm hoping to join Kent Uni this year and have been looking into my options for coming back home. I was wondering if anyone knew what transport was like from the Uni to London where I'd be able to get the underground home. From what I've been looking at, it's going to be really expensive but I wasn't sure if I was missing out on anything.

    Thanks.

You can get between the King's Cross and Canterbury West in little over an hour via the high-speed line. With a railcard, this would be about £20 return. The money you save off the railcard will pay it back in a few trips, so they're worth it. You can get to Charing Cross via Canterbury West though this takes about 30-45 minutes longer and you can also get to Victoria from Canterbury East. I don't know how much either of these journeys would cost though, but I imagine it's similarly priced.

you can take a national express coach to victoria...if you book it say 3-4 days in advance you can get the ticket for 6-7 quids (off peak timing of course)
