Re: M2 Edexcel June 2012 Pre-exam Discussion
Doing mine on thursday, Ive seen the january paper and Ive got a bad feeling they're going to ramp up the difficulty for this one. Still the one from last june had that stupid trig question in it, so i atleast think we wont see that again.
Edit: Though to be honest, its a pretty easy question if you can do C3 trig. -
Re: M2 Edexcel June 2012 Pre-exam DiscussionHow many modules have you done?(Original post by brittanna)
So far the only question i've seen that sort of requires C3 knowledge is about the modulus symbol. So do you think i could quite safely assume that there won't be any C3 in it?
When i was preparing i first did C3 then M2, to avoid this risk. Questions in M2 involving C3 techniques are rare(i am talking according to the book, i haven't done any past paper, except the actual exam paper which i did last year). Though if you are looking for full marks then it is better not to take a risk.
Ask this question to Arsey, he will be able to give a better answer to it. -
Re: M2 Edexcel June 2012 Pre-exam DiscussionWe haven't even properly started C3. Which question in June 2011 had the trig question, because I did June 2011 with no major problem? I know the last question looks really intimidating but it's not too bad.(Original post by ribald)

Re: M2 Edexcel June 2012 Pre-exam DiscussionYeah, I don't think they're going to keep the A boundary at 68/75 for 3 years in a row.(Original post by ribald)

Re: M2 Edexcel June 2012 Pre-exam Discussion
Hey guys,
I personally think colliding particles (followed by ladders against walls) are the hardest bit of M2
I made 200 marks worth of colliding particles past paper question document. These are from the hardest edexcel papers and OCR papers (which are always harder)
But the file size is too big to post on here - feel free to PM mee

Re: Edexcel M2 (31/05/12- AM) Revision ThreadKind of. I'm not gonna revise for it at all, don't know if I'll even turn up to the exam. Basically I've been put on some ridiculous course for maths, and I'm expected to self-study C3 and C4 over the two weeks after M2. Frankly I can't be bothered so I'm going to do C3 and then next year (I'm doing Further Maths, btw) I'll do C4 when I rejoin school.(Original post by Tizoxic)

Re: M2 Edexcel June 2012 Pre-exam Discussionahhhh okkk i might do(Original post by raheem94)
I actually don't need this file, i have already taken M2 in june 2011, but +rep for being so helpful.
I think it will be better if you also include the answers of the questions in the file.

Re: Edexcel M2 (31/05/12- AM) Revision ThreadFrankly, that seems irrational when you have 2 weeks to C3 then a whole week after that also for C4.(Original post by knowledgecorruptz)

You should at least turn up to the exam, you'd be surprised what you could achieve in a few days of content before C3 then a solid week of questions/papers for it.
Not only that, it would help if you were to resit it, at least you would have some idea of the module.
That being said, I do agree that your course is ridiculous
