Is it right that, in a divorce, women usually keep the house and other valuables?

Re: Is it right that, in a divorce, women usually keep the house and other valuables? You actually can split a house 50:50-it has been done before-my stepmother and father sold half of their house.(Original post by Blazara)
Sell house, split proceeds. -
Re: Is it right that, in a divorce, women usually keep the house and other valuables?Traditionally, women were supposed to stay at home and maintain the house, so in divorces they would get the house as the man had the job. Now though, both genders have equal rights and so the ownership of the house should not be determined by gender.(Original post by justmyopinions)
Well,
When couples divorce, is it right that the woman usually keeps the house and other valuables, even if she has never worked during the relationship?
I think it's 100% sexist and wrong and that everything should be split 50/50. -

I don't think anyone has the right to take from their (ex)partner during a divorce. It's quite tacky tbh to demand the house and all that crap just because you're no longer together, things should be split evenly and worked out amicably but obviously this will never happen. Scumbag women (and men too actually) give the rest of us a bad name by behaving like that

I wanna ask something...
In relation to this thread, what about the case of Tiger Woods and his ex wife? Did she deserve the $100million she got from him????
