How realistic is the year abroad with English Literature?
So, I've been looking into my Uni options and I'm growing keen on the idea of adding a fourth year abroad. They mentioned it a lot on my Open Day but I wasn't sure how realistic it was, especially considering I never chose the course option which specifically details a year abroad. I'm particularly looking at the American options. I just wondered if anyone has had any experiences with this.

    Thanks!

99% sure you don't have to have signed up for it already. They will hold meetings about it in your first year where you can find out more information. You could also email the School of English, if you are sure that this is what you want to do, and they will put you down as interested now so I would assume you would receive the emails from the beginning, if there are any.

My housemate was on the Year Abroad option, and hasn't gone. One of my other friends had not signed up with the YA option, and is going. It is certainly possible to do! You just need to register your interest when the time comes.
