Which of these speaker's is better
I'm buying a new speaker system to play music on and have narrowed it down to 2:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Z-2.../dp/B0006FFO9G

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-2-1...dp_ob_title_ce

Which of these seems better as in which one will give me a better sound and bass quality.

If you have an amp already then these:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/customer-...e=UTF8&index=0

are going to completely outperfom any multimedia orientated speaker sets.

I've had the Z-2300 for years now (the first link you posted) and they're amazing. The sound quality is great, you can manually change the intensity of the bass, and they're so loud that even setting them to 50% of the max volume will make your entire house tremble.

Lame, they're well worth it. Literally everyone who comes over to our house and hears them comments on how amazing they sound.

A decent pair of speakers and a good amp is always going to sound better than 2.1 or 5.1 multimedia speakers.

Wow, that's inefficient. My setup has a similar rated output power. But for home use I have to keep the volume down so low the needles on the amp don't even move. If I go louder it's get's painful. At 50% the neighbors would be complaining (with good reason).

I know a local rock band that have the same Amp as me for their front of house speakers and it's loud enough for a good sized venue.

Haha I know the feeling. The volume control on my amp is currently set to 1 out of 10 for normal volume listening. I crank it up to 2-2.5 if people on my corridor want to hear my music. Add 1 to those values if I'm listening through my laptop 3.5mm jack rather than the tuner. I've never had it turned higher than 5 as my speakers start to fall off before that point and quality suffers, although considering I paid less than 20 quid for the whole setup comprising of a CD player, tuner, amp, 2x100W Celestion SL6 speakers, and 2x ancient 60W things I've not done too badly. Especially considering my whole corridor of 20 people can happily listen in with my door open

It's an incredibly versatile setup too - it'll do music, general internet browsing, movies, and anything else I throw at it, often only needing the bass turned down a little for the slightly more epic movies.

    ...2x100W Celestion SL6 speakers...
Celestion ones are amazing! Found my dads old pair of celestion Ditton 44's in the attick from 40years (ish) ago and they still sound incredible!! ive almost got my 7.1 setup, just missing a sub and a centre...any recommendations guys??

Oh and i'd go with the top pair (Z300) of those...but preferably these over the two you posted Logitech Z623
