Hmm I'm not sure and everyone seems to be confused on how to write sociology essays.

It's something about Point, Quote, Explain, Evaluate.. I do not know. I don't think you're supposed to add your personal opinion.

I think its like um..for perhaps "explain the functions of the family for individuals and society"

The Nuclear family is thought by many sociologists to be the best family form (point). Murdock believed that it performed four necessary functions: sexual, educational, economic and reproductive (quote sociologist). He stated that all families needed to perform these functions in order to be the best members of society and raise well educated respectful children (explain). And then maybe However, and a contradiction.

Sorry that was off the top of my head so a bit bad.
