Has ANY league EVER had what we just witnessed?
Now Chelsea need to win the CL to just top it off.

Re: English Premier League THE BEST IN THE WORLDToday marked the best and the weirdest premier league we've ever had imo. 7 teams competing for both CL and the championship. Laliga imo is overrated somewhat - the team in 3rd finished 30 points behind the team in 2nd..

Re: English Premier League THE BEST IN THE WORLDIt is I reckon, but some of the quality, particularly the defending has left a lot to be desired this season compared to previous - however the likes of Barcelona and Bayern haven't defended well either.
Also having the 6th best team in Chelsea in the CL final does speak volumes... -

Re: English Premier League THE BEST IN THE WORLDSo happy to be a part of it all. Spent the vast majority of the time in the library with no headphones watching Final Score, but love it all the same. Dare I say it: proud to be a Spurs fan even though the final day itself was bittersweet. I've been to fourteen league games and three cup games this year and every minute, even gritting my teeth in the home section of Loftus Road, has been worth it for the bliss experienced at other times. Even the Fabrice Muamba incident made me realise that every football fan in England is united in love for the sport. Will never ever forget demolishing Liverpool and Newcastle at home, will never forget my first away at Wigan, will never even forget the grandeur of Goodison Park and how lovely the ground is despite our loss. Because almost everything about football in England and my club I love. Downs turn into ups turn into downs, but we all live for the glory that the tumultuousness of football brings.
And yes, Arsenal, you've done it again. But deep down you know you long for a meeting in the knockout stages of the Champions League!
Spoiler:ShowBut for reference, La Liga doesn't even come close to the PL. The Bundesliga is our main rival for quality of the league and attendances. -

Higher attendances (on average ten thousand more than the premier league), greater competition (just because the Premier League has had one exciting season does not make it the most competitive) oh and less debts...
The Premier League league has been a two horse race for around the past six years. Until the last couple of seasons it was between Man U and Chelsea. Now it's just between United and City.
Due to the financial constraints, many young German players get regular games... look how much that has benefited the national team. Maybe England wouldn't be so **** if they didn't just buy every single player from other countries.
Oh and the Premier League has done well in Europe this season haven't they? Chelsea are an exception but unless they win the Champions League, my point remains.
However, isn't it just a two horse race between Dortmund and Bayern Munich each year as well with the odd appearance of Wolfsburg or Bremen in recent years?

Who was the last German side to win the CL? Bayern in 2001. Dortmund and Leverkusen haven't done well this year either. The Bundesliga is improving considering they've now got 4 CL places instead of 3 (Serie A has in turn lost one - so only have 3), but are still behind BPL and La Liga.
I wouldn't say it has been a two horse race. 5 different champions in the past 8 seasons, now that is pretty impressive. That would include Bayern Munich, Dortmund, Stuttgart, Wolfsburg and Bremen.
Yes, in terms of Champions League I will admit that they aren't as successful but they do have a disadvantage from the spending constraints. -
