Am i allowed food in my exam break (concession break)?
So i have been granted 5 mins break per hour for my exams which are all 3 hours long. I will be allowed to leave the room and was wondering whether i could take a banana in with me. I know i can't have food at my desk, but maybe if i leave it at the front with the invigilators i can pick it up as i leave for my break? My first time having a concession so i'm not so sure if i will be allowed. Thanks!

Re: Am i allowed food in my exam break (concession break)?I invigilated a number of undergraduates with special circumstances last year. A girl I invigilated - like yourself - was allocated x amount of time per hour for breaks, rather than just having the clock stopped (this happened as well), and she had something to eat. In fact, she ate outside and had a bit of a walk. I had to escort her where ever she went though.(Original post by rach26897)

Speak to whichever administrator is organising your special circumstances before hand to avoid putting the invigilator in an awkward position (i.e. they have to ring to ask permission or will simply say no because they do not know what to do).
