Hi!
I'm definitely going! I've totally fallen in love with the place! The city's beautiful, the course is perfect and the tutor's also seem really nice and extremely knowledgable. I've confirmed it as my firm choice so hopefully i'll get the grades and see you all in September! -
Re: Who's up for the 22nd Humanities Post-App Day?
it was ridiculously cold! my hands were blue, it was horrid!
are you accepting adinburgh as your firm? i think you ought to, it really is fabulous!
what course are you doing?
how shocked were you when they said 24000 people aplied to the faculty of humanities and social science!? I was stunned!
did you get a nose at the accomodation? -
Re: Who's up for the 22nd Humanities Post-App Day?
I had already accepted it as UF, i just went to get out of school basically... heh. But oh it is wonderful! With the admissions man saying 'we think you are the best' heh.
I'm doing architectural design, which I am so painfully looking forward to. dhfkf. You?
I didn't have time to see accomodation :''(, my friend was desperate to get to CDshop and who was I to say no.... heh. -
Re: Who's up for the 22nd Humanities Post-App Day?
i hadn't officially accepted my offer until today about two hours ago.
I'm doing English Language with Linguistics and either Law, Latin or Lit. as my outside subject.
I can't wait either! I've just applied for accomodation just now, I can't believe that if you apply for Pollock Halls you don't get a second or third choice for accomodation.... what if I get put somewhere scummy?
OOOOHHH! Architect! You'll be minted once you graduate! You going to design Scotland a cheaper Parliament building which wont fall apart! lol!
WOOO.... september 9th and we'll be moving into our flats/homes/halls... I can't wait!
so have you already done highers taht your's is unconditional? You must have done well
I cant wait! I am so glad i have this opportunity!

Re: Who's up for the 22nd Humanities Post-App Day?
I'm applying self-catering... which is kind of scary :/!
I can't do an outside subject! :'''(. We have to do Arch. History or an outside subject, but I really want to do the history so woe be me.
I have quite a few friends going to Edinburgh, so if you're ever lonely on Freshers' you can pop along... and get hideously drunk... -
Re: Who's up for the 22nd Humanities Post-App Day?
hahaha i might just take you up on that!
three school weeks left, plus two weeks in easter holidays, until we leave school! wooooo! how exiting! my 18th is the day before my last day, or thereabouts, how much celebrating will i be doing! hahaha!
where about is you ideal residence? on your application form, did you get to say what your interests are? i didn't get a bit on that, so how on earth are they going to pair me off with flatmates with similar interests to me?!?!

Omg! They can make us share kitchens/toilets with absolute d***s can't they?????
yeah! thats my fear also!
when i was at the applicant visit day i talked to some later year students and when they were at Pollock halls, one of them was sharing toilets and two showers between 12 people and the other was 16! i was not amused! lol! but they said wear flip flop into the showers etc SO GET THAT ON YOUR TO BUY LIST!!!!
on saying that, though, everyone will e in the same boat (ie not liking it!) and will get used to it. plus it means you get to know even more people. i know it might not e a fab set up but i value getting my meas cooked for me VERY highly!
i am just scared of what flat i would get if i dont get pollock...
its not too big a deal, i prob wont be home long enough to hate it; i'll be going out pubbing and clubbing. Oh! and attending lectures! lol!
