Joey Barton
Joey Barton has apologised to QPR's players and supporters after being sent off in the 3-2 defeat at Manchester City.
Here's some of his tweets:
"Can do nothing but apologise to the players and the fans. Still don't think its a sending off. Tried to take 1 of their players with me..."
He continued: "The head was never gone at any stage, once I'd been sent off, one of our players suggested I should try to take 1 of theirs with me..."
"...Never worked but god loves a trier. #reallynotbother #wearesafe.
"Still not my proudest moment but who gives a ****, we are safe..........and that is all that matters."
"To all those nuggets who've been tweeting about relegation all season.......u were wrong. #chinup," Barton added.
"To those same nuggets, the ones that constantly wrote us of all season. See u in the Premiership next season... #comeonur'sss."
Here's the video of the incident:
Personally think he should be banned for life, how many more chances can a guy get?! Mindless tbh

Re: Joey Barton
Absolutely cuckoo to be honest.
His tweets alone after the match are justifiable of being banned, admitting to cheating and to lashing out at another player. It's disgusting to think this man is a captain in one of the most high profile sporting competitions in the world... he deserves to be in jail for that.
QPR will get shot of him in the off-season, the fans hate him just as much as everyone else and he has always been, and always will be, a liability to any football club. -
Re: Joey Barton
Needless to say, both players go down like they've been felled by Ali in his prime, but that doesn't excuse the utter twonk that is Barton.
Taking one of theirs with him? For that alone he should be arrested for assault and, as much as I'm not usually one for kneejerk reactions, never allowed on a professional football pitch again. -
Re: Joey Barton
Disgraceful behaviour. From thee footage I've seen the Man city players handled the situation with maturity, could easily have turned into a mass brawl.
There's a difference between showing you're a 'hardman' player by not being afraid to get stuck in and between behaving like an utter tit like Barton who has just shown that he's a thug.(Original post by MEPLUS-->YOU)
Who else thinks he is a G by taken on 3 players.
He is not afraid-that is what I like about him. Trying to take on Aguero-Tevez-Balotelli and KOPMANY!
