Re: Joey BartonAnd Barton did/attempted all 3 within a few minutes. The guy knew what he was doing and even after he got sent off he carried on behaving like a psychopath. Looking at his incidents both on and off the field in the past he just doesn't deserve another chance. The game is better with him off the field.(Original post by original_username)
I clearly speak as if it isn't the first time he has behaved violently.
There are sufficient measures in place to deal with violent behaviour, he will get his deserved punishment. Deliberate elbows happen, so do kick outs and head butts. You see Rugby players square up and knock ten bells out of eachother.
I just think whenever it's to do with Barton there is a huge over reaction. -
Re: Joey Barton
"Today, I will mostly be spending time with friends or listening to The Smiths..." #goodday
Honestly the guy is sad as **** its almost funny.
But then he has another meltdown this time on Lineker...
"now back under your stone you odious little toad.."
"I know a lot about THAT side to u the people don't and won't bat an eye lid at exposing u. So mind ur manners Squeaky..."
"do u wanna go there publicly "Mr Squeaky Clean" ? Think u should have a look in that vast closet of skeltons before u respond".

Like we all knew he was mental? But he is having the mother of all meltdowns here.
Absolutely surreal. -
Joey Barton threatens to expose 'toad' Gary Lineker
Joey Barton has threatened to "expose" footballer-turned-pundit Gary Lineker.
Lineker was part of the Match of the Day panel which criticised Barton for his behaviour before and after getting sent off in QPR's match against title winners Manchester City yesterday (May 13).
Barton initially said on Twitter that while he would "take it" from Alan Hansen and Lineker, he refused to be criticised by "that bell" Alan Shearer.
The QPR midfielder then rebuffed Lineker's defence of Shearer and his suggestion that Barton was attempting to deflect from "obvious and deserved criticisms".
Linkeker then said to Barton: "Still raging then? Still kicking out? And still, presumably, misunderstood? But only by yourself I suspect."
Barton responded: "Do u wanna go there publicly "Mr Squeaky Clean" ? Think u should have a look in that vast closet of skeltons before u respond. (sic)

Re: Joey Barton
Not really a surprise. For all his preaching that he'd changed I think he's just proven why so many people were skeptical of that. Once a thug, always a thug in his case. He should be stripped of QPR captaincy and sold.
A thug verses a drama queen. To be honest I think Barton would have battered Balotelli. -
Re: Joey Barton threatens to expose 'toad' Gary LinekerSo he went on Twitter to defend himself against being called out for his behaviour... and went completely off the wall??(Original post by hbk4894)

That's comparable to Stan Collymore on Twitter reacting to allegations of wifebeating, and daring anyone who calls him violent on Twitter to come and say it to his face.Last edited by marcusfox; 14-05-2012 at 14:14. -
Re: Joey BartonI'd out a tenner on Balotelli tbh, he would have absolutely gone ape **** at Barton.(Original post by thunder_chunky)

Re: Joey BartonI don't think Balotelli is hiding anything particular, he acts like a big girls blouse so often and Barton is a thug so I think the latter would easily beat the former.(Original post by S-man10)

Re: Joey BartonDuncan Ferguson: to quote 'Ferguson was noted for his aggressive and highly-competitive style of play, which resulted in nine red cards and a three-month prison sentence following an on field assault of Raith Rovers' John McStay in 1994.' Though I cannot see Greater Manchester Police and the CPS wanting to take the same attitude as the Procurator Fiscal did with Ferguson and on another occasion three players in a Rangers-Celtic game.(Original post by original_username)
Ban him for life? Behave.
He's a hot head and a bit of an ******** but that doesn't mean he should be banned for life. He isn't the first player of this type and he wont be the last. Look at Duncan Ferguson at Everton, he was a psycho, lashing out every now and then. He will get punished, and then will be allowed to come back again, and rightly so.Last edited by barnetlad; 14-05-2012 at 19:13. -
Re: Joey BartonBalotelli might act like a drama queen, but is smart and relishes opportunities like these. He knows if he battered Barton he would be a hero despite the fight.(Original post by thunder_chunky)

Re: Joey Barton
I was finding Barton to be a decent guy off the pitch, ie helping the campaign for the Hillsbrough victims by giving it more publicity, but what he did was pretty shocking. However that being saide, it would of been better if he done it to Nasri instead of Aguero, he and Nasri had a scuffle at the Emirates before aswell.
what a psycho.
