How long is it before we're allowed to write answers???
I found the listening quite good, the dictation was nice and slow (although I still didn't get it all :P ) and the multi choice was quite nice! What did people get for like dissonances and chords and stuff??

it had to be stravinsky. gershwin would have been jazzier...

guess you could start listening to all the stravinsky operas until you find it! haha :P

It was Stravisnky? I wasn't sure between that and Gershwin so I put Gershwin.
I'm really not expecting to have done that well on it. Dictation was alright. I just hope I did alright on that because it's my strongest area on question 2.

Which questions did everyone answer for section B and C? I answered a and b for section B and b for section C

don't worry about 2 marks. I just realised that I've lost 13 marks for being stupid and not knowing that you had to do 2 questions for part b, I just launched into answering the question without reading everything. 4.5% my a level down the drain, absolutely kicking myself

Oh my gosh I am so sorry about missing a section B question.
Does anyone know what the first piece of music was?
    Hope everyone found it okay!

That really blows about missing the B section. Don't worry about it too much, it's done now - everything happens for a reason and lets just hope you pulled it back with the rest of your paper!
So it was definitely a mozart Piano concerto then? I put the section A was a Gershwin opera :/ x

I really hope so.... Yes, definitely the Mozart and I thought the first was Gershwin as well, but it might have been from Stravinsky's rake's progress now I've done some searching...

Well my melody dictation would've been dire as always, just hopefully less dire with it being a slower piece. Oh can anyone remember what they put for naming the chords in the Mozart concerto? I went for diminished 7th and V7 but it was a big fat guess.

I thought it was Beethoven And I put boring IV and I chords as I couldn't think of anything else...tbh I always lose loads of marks in section B!

Apparently it was Mozart, my music teacher had her ear pressed up to the door I'm awful with aural, I can just about figure out tonic and dominant pedals but that's about as far as it goes. Unless I get a lovely sequence in the dictation!

Lol my teacher actually sat in the exam with us (she still got the answers wrong ) . You know the 'feature throughtout extract A', that was a drone right?? And was there a suspension or something to create dissonance in B?? Arrggh! I hate music theory....

Yeah, i remember it was Eb major for the new key question, b)ii) i think?

and the two chords were diminished 7th and tonic, and the key there was C minor.

cadence at the end of the extract was imperfect.
