    Oh wow ;P
In retrospect, it was either a moment of genius, or stupidity. Unfortunately, I am inclined to believe the latter...

    Name: Andrew
    GCSE's: 2A*'s, 3 A's, 5 B's, so not great haha
    Course applying for: Chemistry
    College applying for: No idea
Studying currently: Chem Maths Physics Bio, probably dropping Bio
1st choice?: Depends on AS results. Given underperformances last week's unit 1's , highly likely it will be first choice.

I wasted a good opportunity of getting high UMS for the first chemistry exam, lots of silly mistakes! I'm probably the only person in existance who has done better on the much harder unit 2 exam compared to unit 1 haha (OCR A by the way!)

    - Also just noticed that the three people applying for chemistry all have names beginning with A lol, WOOOO

    Re: Durham Applicants 2013 entry
    Name: Hannah
    Course applying for: English Lit.
College applying for: St Cuthbert's (Process of elimination - wanted En-suite & self - catering accommodation in an old college )
Studying currently: English Literature, Modern History, History of Art and Politics (dropping after AS)
1st choice?: Not sure, York does a great Lit with History of Art course...

Not entirely sure if I will get in based on my GCSEs. Got three A*s (two in English Lit and Lang, the other in science) 5As, 2Bs and one C (in art, and I already have enough without putting it out on the application). However, at A-Level I've really done well, with 4A predictions at AS and having gotten 100% in my English Lit coursework I'm hoping that will be enough to make up for my relatively poor GCSE results. However, I've heard that the English department is quite strict on this and I'm currently attending what is widely regarded as one of the best state sixth forms in the country (though my secondary school was awful) anyone have any advice on this front? I'm kind of terrified about it

Also, I work in an independent book store which does numerous events with well-known authors - not sure if this will help my application?

Its my first choice, tied with Bath. Dreading the amount of work it will take to get the grades good enough to go. Just love the look of the whole thing, the place, the course and the colleges: )

Did anyone else get the email about changes to entry requirements? So upset about the change to Modern Languages... an offer of AAB would have been perfect
