I messed up 6ch08 really badly and I am afraid I might get less than 40% i.e. fail that unit. I need to get a C overall in the whole A level, and having a 79.7% average in AS chemistry, I would need only a D average to get a C overall in the A level.
my question is : if i fail unit 6b but get really good grades in the other two (good enough to get my average up to at least a D in A2), will I have to repeat unit 6b in january anyway?

please answer asap!!!!!!!!

To get a C in the whole A level, you need 360/600 UMS. (the total UMS of your six exams must be at least 360 for an overall C grade)

You are saying that your AS is 79.7%, that means you already have 239.1/600 UMS, so you only need 120.9 more.

It's up to you how you colllect the remaining 120.9 UMS

for example it can be like this;
Unit4 - 60/120 (D grade)
Unit 5 : 40/120 (U grade)
Unit 6 : 22/60 (U grade)

so 60+40+22 = 122
and 122+239 = 361

The only thing i don't know is that whether it is allowed to get a certificate while having U grades in some of the units.
