Accepted to MA/MFA Photography - Advice?
Hi all,
I'm looking out for some advice: I've been offered a place for three different MA/MFA Photography degrees and, honestly, have no idea which one to choose.
It's either MFA Contemporary Art Photography at Edinburgh College of Art
or MA Photography at Central Saint Martins
or MA Photographic Studies at Westminster
Now, obviously all three degrees have a slightly different approach towards the subject and by feeling, I'd probably choose the ECA direction. However, since Edinburgh is not exactly London and I'm rather a big city kind of guy, geographically I'm favoring CSM. Being from Berlin, Germany, I have never been to any of the Universities (nor will be able to go over before the decision making) so I'd be really grateful for any kind of insights. Has anyone ever attended one of the programmes? How do ECA / CSM differ from each other?
Anyone?
Cheers! -
Re: Accepted to MA/MFA Photography - Advice?yes, I sent in my on April 23th. I'm just freaking out, I really really want to do my master's in CSM. I know you already got in, but do you think it's really difficult to get in? I mean how hard did you work on your application? Thanks for replying!(Original post by PaulHutch)
Hi,
I sent it in a couple of weeks ago. End of March, something like that. You're applying for photography as well?

Re: Accepted to MA/MFA Photography - Advice?
Hi,
sorry, only got to read your message right now. Hope it'll still help. My application, well, I didn't really have to do a lot of work on it because I already had a certain portfolio which I could easily send in. Obviously the final project thing required some thought but I guess that's the usual thing.
let me know when you get the reply. do you have your stuff online somewhere?
cheers!
paul
