Doing some research - TES was usually just full of headteacher adverts, but Guardian Jobs seemed to be useful but does anyone use any other websites for jobhunting? -

Glad you mentioned this - I was going to say!
TES is excellent - you can put in a lot of search parameters to make it relevant for you.
A lot of jobs at LEA schools appear on Eteach only, I have noticed (as a prolific job hunter) so I would recommend checking a combination of Eteach and TES regularly.
Some academy federations put vacancies on their federation website only, so if you have somewhere specific in mind that you want to work, checking their website regularly would be the best thing. -

Re: Where do you look for teaching vacancies?TES isn't that great in my area though, it depends where you live, I still check it but it isn't usually very fruitful.
I would check local council sites, TES and Eteach ask teachers in your area too, there might be something you're missing. I usually do a 'sweep' every few days. -

Re: Where do you look for teaching vacancies?If you're actually looking for a job at an independent school, then the best way to do that is to just keep an eye on their websites / local newspapers where they will advertise.
But also yes, TES is the big one!
