Re: WJEC GCSE french Reading and listening May 14 2012
I thought the listening was much harder than the reading, most of the listening was guess work due to the sound quality being awful, my teacher has put in a complaint, as it was too static at times for even her to understand!
The reader was fine except for the fill in the gaps question. The paper was nothing like the questions on past papers, which I have to say were extremely easy unlike this. Really hope that the grade boundaries are dropped! -
Re: WJEC GCSE french Reading and listening May 14 2012Yeah I put she wants to meet Johhny Depp, but then realised she has two kids with and is married to him so i got confused!?! Thanks anyway(Original post by cube123)
She wants to marry Johhny Depp ro something along those lines
I also hope for lower grade boundries!

Hi!
I also found the exam really hard. However, I thought the reading was much harder than the foundation. I mean what was with the baby question???? And the footballer one I guessed completely!
I didn't find the listening as bad apart from a few questions in which I had to make logical guesses.
Really hoping they lower the grade boundaries though! -
Re: WJEC GCSE french Reading and listening May 14 2012She's going out with him but apparently they haven't married, according to Wikipedia! ("Depp has been in a relationship with Vanessa Paradis, a French actress and singer whom he met while filming The Ninth Gate." "Although Depp has not remarried, he has stated that having children has given him "real foundation, a real strong place to stand in life, in work, in everything."(Original post by CriticalFrog95)
I was so frustrated with the listening exam, I googled the Vanessa Paradis woman and she released Joe le Taxi in 1987 which I got, then I just heard Johnny Depp so I said she wanted to be with him, though apparently she's his wife :/Last edited by cube123; 14-05-2012 at 23:34. -
Re: WJEC GCSE french Reading and listening May 14 2012
Well reading this has made me feel better because it seems other people have put the same stupid answers as me which could mean they were right
I had an invigilator talking behind me on one of the questions so I heard chauffage not chômage and had to say David was scared of Global warming>:-( and I liked the Vanessa Paradis one because we talked about her in class and I already knew some of the answers x What was the baby stopped by?? x

Re: WJEC GCSE french Reading and listening May 14 2012
Glad I'm not the only one that found it quite difficult!
I've done basically all the past papers possible, thats basically all we've done since we started year 11 and I thought the ones on Monday were one of the hardest...I like the tick the box questions, true or false and the questions like those and there didn't seem to be hardly any of those in the paper
For the Johnny Depp question, I put she lived with a famous actor (I couldn't remember who they'd mentioned haha) for two years (don't know where I got 2 years from! lol)
and for the second question I put she's wanted to work with him
for the restarant question, my teacher told us today that the baby fell off the roof, bounced off the restaurant canopy (I think thats what there called) and the doctor caught her.
That question was awful! -
Re: WJEC GCSE french Reading and listening May 14 2012
I'd put that Vanessa wants to work with him on a film in the future and that she has advertised perfume and bags? I heard that it could have been lipstick though so I'm not sure.
The baby landed on the canopy and then into the doctors arms (as if!) completely unharmed.
In the listening the last questions answer was something to do with wheels on the dessert/modification on his board (can't remember which) and his family/friends were surprised at him winning(?).
It was a super hard exam I thought and I'm very lucky if I get anywhere near the B/A I'm supposed to get, D/C more like it! -
Re: WJEC GCSE french Reading and listening May 14 2012
I'm genuinely so glad I'm not the only one, I didn't answer any of the question's on the second page in the listening, and I put the baby fell onto the roof of the restaurant, and bounced onto a sun lounger!
Hey ho, let's hope they lower the grade boundaries! -
Re: WJEC GCSE french Reading and listening May 14 2012
soooo glad i'm not the only one that couldn't answer question two on the reading, I felt so stupid being that is was only the second question and I had to guess ALL the answers. I put he was scared of his friends making fun of him!! because I had absolutly no clue. I did think the reading was quite a bit better though and managed to grasp that the last question was about a baby after about 5 reads!!!
I'm sure the grade boundaries will go down *fingers crossed*
I also hope for lower grade boundries!
