Anyone going to a sixth form college?
I cant wait to start my sixth form college. It's so state of the art! The campus would be completely finished at January coming! It's got an awesome theatre and the best studio on the county the place just looks awesome!
I chose a sixth form college because It's new and I don't have to go to the same old dusty building with the same old damn teachers! Plus I don't get to see some other pesky kids doing their GCSEs. Down side- there are a lot of people who mess around mostly in AS.
I was just wondering if anyone else was going to a sixth form exclusive college and why did you choose to do so? -
Re: Anyone going to a sixth form college?
I'm going to one.
I just wanted to try something new, and knew I'd regret it if I didn't give it a go. Teachers at sixth form have both GCSE and A-level students, while the teachers at sixth form college just have A-levels which might mean they're more dedicated to helping. They also apparently treat you better. I also want to meet new people and try new things.
The only downside is the fact I don't know anybody, and I'm leaving behind all my close friends. -
Re: Anyone going to a sixth form college? You have still got Facebook and you can always visit some of them! Your A levels arent the end of your social life! But bare in mind that you only are doing it for yourself.(Original post by Deziah)

Mine is pretty far 30+ mins on the bus and maybe anothe half an hour walking to the bus station (10 by bike). But everytime I'll commute there I'll just remember it that it's all for the best lol. -
Re: Anyone going to a sixth form college? It's about twenty minutes on the bus for me, it would be the same if I went to sixth form.(Original post by iSoftie)

Re: Anyone going to a sixth form college?Yes but I'm guessing around 30 because I also know people from other skls going. Anyhow it's a school that's 1000 strong so yes... It will be something new!(Original post by Deziah)

Re: Anyone going to a sixth form college? It would be inevitable that ull go to place where you dont know people, when you get your A levels to go uni for instance(Original post by Graceyyyyyyy)
There's about 1000 people per year in the sixth form college I'm starting in september and I know 0 people going. The first day is going to be so daunting :')

It might be the best sixth form in the country! I heard like 6 private schools formed up to do this. -

Re: Anyone going to a sixth form college?I've heard of the place.(Original post by Alexandra's Box)
I am! Though it is mainly because in my county (Sussex) schools tend to not have sixth forms so we all are kicked out
I'll be going to South Downs College - I live 15 mins away from one of the campuses.
AS Bio, Chem, Mod History and Ecom... HERE I COME!
Funny that I'm from West Sussex and there are quite a selection of sixth form colleges: they are just too far away from each other! :P
