Revision has gotten me depressed; recommend me a light-hearted, uplifting film
Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

Re: Revision has gotten me depressed; recommend me a light-hearted, uplifting filmTHE BEST FILM TO WATCH WITHOUT A DOUBT IN YOUR SITUATION IS ... 'The pursuit of happiness' that movie will inspire you and is one of the best films ever made! i definitely suggest you watch it.. stars will smith and his son(Original post by Id and Ego seek)
If I see the words 'logical necessity' or 'predicate' one more time, I might just kill myself
Any suggestions? -
Re: Revision has gotten me depressed; recommend me a light-hearted, uplifting filmI've never actually seen this film but I hear it is, in fact, one of the most inspirational films, so I might watch this either today or tomorrow (one day before my exam).(Original post by MATTTT)

Re: Revision has gotten me depressed; recommend me a light-hearted, uplifting film
My list of films for stress/bad grades/general unhappiness is as follows:
-Hairspray
-High School Musical Trilogy
-Bridget Jones's Diary 1/2
-Zoolander
-Sherlock Holmes 1/2 (If 2 has been released yet... not sure)
-My Fair Lady
-Lots of 40s/50s films, esp. film noirs
-Sherlock episodes are as long as a film, so that counts
-Persepolis
-Most Studio Ghibli films (But if you're feeling extra sad, DO NOT watch My Neighbour Totoro or Spirited Away! Makes me cry every time)
-Clueless (or most 90s comedy films for that matter)
Those are all I can remember. -

Re: Revision has gotten me depressed; recommend me a light-hearted, uplifting filmOh I wasn't classing Studio Ghibli et al as animated. They're their own thing (and absolutely amazing).(Original post by Id and Ego seek)
Skeptical?
Just watch anything directed by Hayao Miyazaki and there'll be no need to be skeptical
