Re: Who here likes Hummus?
I love it. I don't eat it as much these days but it used to pretty much be my default food at uni for occasions when I couldn't be bothered to cook - usually with carrot sticks or I chop up various salad stuff like cucumbers, peppers etc and stir a massive dollop of hummus into the mix. Amazing
Also love it on toast or with warm bread. Hummus and felafel is obviously also a good combo but I am too lazy to make felafel myself so I don't often have it.

Re: Who here likes Hummus?Oh yeah, that's the way to do it!(Original post by I<3LAMP)
Warm soft pitta, falafel, salad and hummus and if you want to chilli it up go ahead or add more lemon. Nom!
But, in all honesty, I can just eat it on it's own with a teaspoon. Or a big spoon. Or any available utensil. It's just all types of delicious! -
Re: Who here likes Hummus?I have a large tub in the fridge and I just spoon it onto salads or just eat it because it;s just ridiculously good.(Original post by cloppy)

I wish it was fat free but ah well still healthy in its own way! -
Re: Who here likes Hummus?I am hungry. I need to go and find some flavoured hummus and Italian bread immediately!(Original post by Rascacielos)
I like it with toast and carrot sticks.
Also if you like chickpeas as much as I do, hummus goes well in a wrap with falafel and some lettuce. -
Re: Who here likes Hummus?I've run out of rep for today but just wanted to let you know that that sounds incredible!!! *rep rep rep*(Original post by The Lyceum)
You know what's nice?
Lamb burger in a sesame bun with jalapeño and red pepper relish, rocket salad with balsamic vinegar, Greek yoghurt and houmos in it. Served with sweet potato wedges. -
Re: Who here likes Hummus? It really is, I was sceptical of using it as anything other than a dip at first but with careful experimentation I think I'm getting the hang of it, e.g: olive bread, cold pork loin ham, cherry tomatoes, edam cheese and houmous with caramalised onion (tescos sell it) is another good one.(Original post by kates:))

Also tuna, cress, cucumber and houmous with coriander also goes done surprisingly well.
Wow, it really is a magical food stuff. :O -

I have absolutely no idea. It was my friend who spoke to the man and I'm not sure if he was even in a shop or was a street vendor. Sorry! But I'm sure there are plenty of good hummus places in Israel.

Re: Who here likes Hummus? What's the "topped one" from Sainsburys, which one do you mean?(Original post by Ursin)
Absolutely love it. The topped one from Sainsbury's, oh my life, I nearly cried it tasted so good. I like it with breadsticks/pitta/raw carrots...mmmmmmmm... -
Re: Who here likes Hummus?
I like it but I've never really loved it, probably because my childhood was middle class enough to be force fed pitta and hummus but not so middle class that my mum wouldn't pick up the bland cheap one from Tescos. I still have the horrible memories of the florescent pink mush that is taramasalata. I prefer tzatziki.
Please don't judge me

Re: Who here likes Hummus?Ha, you have my (and probably our) sympathies, Tesco hummus, only one step up from Aldi hummus, which is a sort of indescribably tasteless mush.(Original post by cardine92)

Can I suggest going to Marks or Waitrose and trying one of their excellent ranges? Might change your outlook.
