I'm going into my second year in September and I'll also be a Fresher Rep for Freshers week. I can't give you specific details of what's going to happen this year as I don't know them myself yet but I can tell you about what happened last year for my Freshers Week.

There were nights out over the move-in weekend and starting Monday I had introduction lectures and workshop things. I don't know if it's the same for every course but they were to meet lecturers and get to grips with all the stuff you need to know for the year. We had nights out every night after these which went to the different studenty places, some of them are themed with 2 of the bigger ones being an army themed night and a beach themed night. On the following Friday we had Freshers Fair where the societies and sports clubs set up stalls for everyone to go round and sign up for stuff. On Saturday we had an event called Saturday Antics where halls compete against each other at different things.

Like I said, I don't know how much of that is going to be the same next year, that's just the basics of what my Freshers week was like last year Feel free to ask if you want know anything else!

Hi guys! I'm going into my 3rd year at Nottingham trent this Sep. I'm also going to be a fresher rep again, as i was last year. You're all going to have an amazing time during freshers week.
I reccomend keeping up to date with the events by going on www.trentstudents.org there you will find a page specifically for Freshers week which starts the 24th Sep.
I also reccomend searching facebook for your halls groups as im pretty sure they'll all be set up now. i.e nottingham trent halls gordon house 2012/13

Last year we had a pre-paid fresher band that you can pay for online on trentstudents.org it gets you into all your events no fuss. There will be an event each night.
And most of them are fancy dress.
And questions i'll be happy to answer.

I'd say buy it before you go. I picked mine up when I enrolled the day I moved in and it seemed like most people did the same. Much better to have it ready before you go in my opinion. It also says limited stock so they could potentially run out before you arrive.
