what is psychology like?
im thinking of taking up psychology as a as level in a2 as i do physics, chemistry and biology atm and what i was wondering was:
what does it involve?
is it interesting?
is it diffcult? (what i mean is, is it hard to get an A in like physics or is it more of a case of alot to remember like biology?) -
Re: what is psychology like?
To be honest, you don't need to know much. You need to know a little bit of theory and you can pretty much make up studies to support the theory.
It's more about arguing and debating than remembering or solving problems. It's quite easy (compared to physics, chemistry and biology).Last edited by michaelhaych; 14-05-2012 at 20:46. -

A lot of memorising of facts and ideas and case studies.
Is it interesting?
To me, not really, I find one section interesting out of the 6 studied in AS year (for AQA A)
Is it difficult?
It is difficult as it has a lot of things to memorise and also a lot of application! I am aiming for A/B's in Biology/Chem/Maths but get C/D/E's in most of my psychology mocks. It depends on what your strengths are though!
I am going to be dropping it as soon as my exams for it are over because I hate it.
At my school, no one likes the class, but it may be different elsewhere. -
don't do it. its all about who can remember the most- most of the marks comes from recalling end evaluating studies with less focus on theory which is stupid.(Original post by madmadmax321)
