which area is best to live in Edinburgh as a postgrad?
    Hey,

I have an offer to study medical anthropology at Edinburgh Uni. Just wondered which university accommodation is closest to lectures, centre, shops, clubs, and is still nice? I want self-catered but share common area with minimum 4 or 5 other people (up to 10). Would appreciate any help! :-) Thanks!

Would you not think about private renting? being a post grad I would have thought it would have been cheaper to rent if you go just outside of the city centre your looking at 350-400pcm for a 1 bedroom private rent with the bus services that edinburgh offer it doesnt take long to get back into the centre of edinburgh

I agree, have you thought of living out? There are so many nice areas to look at.

Unless you are from outside of the EU then as a postgrad you will not be guaranteed accommodation anyway. I would strongly suggest you start making alternative arrangements because even if you apply for university owned accommodation the chances of you actually being allocated anything is extremely slim.
