    Open University and funding :-S
Right so the long story short is that i got a poor grade on my degree in media production, i graduated with a pass, without honors, obviously less than a third, 3 years on I'm working full time but i am in the middle of applying to top up my degree at the open university with their open degree, although im wondering if i can get a student loan to pay for the fees because theres no way i can afford the 5,000 course fee, and the aim ist to study a PGCE in primary education once i have achieved a better degree, does this mean i will have to pay for the PGCE or is the PGCE exempt from student finance because again i wouldnt be able to pay for a full time PGCE???? any help is appreciated???

    Thanks

No, you cannot get a student loan for another undergraduate degree.

You need a new, and better, plan.

You can look into career development loans, but these are proper loans (unlike student ones) which means you have a fixed amount to repay every year regardless of your earnings, and with above-inflation interest.

This may not be of any help to you now, but you can only get funding with the OU if you are topping up your existing degree and you graduated without honours previously, and you also need to be married or living with another adult dependant (partner).
