I'm always considerate of my hm's so if I want to meet up with/party with people we usually meet up at the SU or in town

What time does your library close? If it's a late closure, I don't see how everyone can't be happy

I've always worked best in the evening. Also I plan to revise all day as well.
Im seriously cramming as I don't feel like I know enough about the exam

Also I want to study in my room on my own. I don't see why I shouldnt be allowed to do this. I've just been crying all night
all that time you've spent crying you could have been revising. if you had revised during your crying time, you would be fully prepared and could enjoy the party. go to the party anyway, most people find that a hangover improves exam performance.

Take the fuses out of the speaker's plugs :yep: The chances of them realising what's wrong, and having the parts to fix it, before the night is out, are somewhere between slim and none.

They're awful! Really inconsiderate. But I dont think there is anything you can do in terms of stopping their party. If you do remove the fuse to the speakers wouldn't that still mean they will be shouting and screaming anyway? And also they might suspect it is you and probably cause conflict and will not let you revise.

    - Do you have any friends that live near you? Try asking them.
    - Go to the library (if you're willing to give them £20 then surely you can use that to get to a taxi to and from there?)
    - Wear earplugs/headphones

It definitely is inconsiderate - that says a lot coming from me by the way.

I get that they're students and it's their right to have a good time and it is indeed their right to hold this party, in saying that it's bad flatmate etiquette.

Surely they could just go to a club or something?

this is probably a bit late, but my uni has a security number you can call. Even if your in private accomodation you can call security and even though they dont have the authority to do anything (as long as your housmeates arent aware of this fact) then they will still come round.

I had to call them on my neighbours before in exam period, and they told them off and they turned their music down etc. its worth a try

(I see the exam was this morning so this is irrelevant now sorry!) .May sound extreme but I have a friend who actually booked into a bed and breakfast the night before her final 3rd year exam as the walls of her house are paper thin and her neighbour's were being inconsiderate *******s. Obviously seems an expensive solution but definitely something I'd consider myself when suffering from stress and dealing with 3rd year exams. Let us know the outcome, and good luck!
