I expect soon instead of seeing "RON PAUL 2012" spammed on every YouTube comments page, it will soon be "RAND PAUL 2016".

Stop buying the mainstream media bull****, man. He hasn't given up, he's increased his focus into other areas. Its a strategic change. He's totally winning the battle for the delegates. He has over 100, whereas looooooooser Mitt Romsey only has a pitiful 944. Ron Paul CANNOT lose.

The mainstream media are biased against the next president of the United States, and not a loony racist at all, Mr Ron Paul. The only candidate with two Christian names.

Words of wisdom, man! I see it now! No doubt the neo-con Likudniks of the Republicrat Alliance forced him into this shady resignation. We can only hope that Rand will take charge and restore the kind of government that the Founding Fathers dreamed of! Don't tread on me!
I thought you meant he'd made it illegal to run in Primary Schools.. no idea why I thought this >.>
i thought it said "Ron Paul stops running in Primark"

The final sentence :toofunny:
Ron Paul's anti war stance, whilst admirable, doesn't do him any favours with the American electorate.

Generally the people that will be nodding their heads in agreement with Ron Paul on that issue are lefties who want socialised healthcare and welfare and pensions so they are never going to support him.

Whereas most of the right wing Republican types that would like Paul's idea of low taxes and small government, are neo-cons that want US foreign intervention especially in the Middle East, pro Israel foreign policy, assertion of US military supremacy, and Paul's views on foreign policy and the military are a deal breaker for them, they won't vote for him.

As a result Paul has a very limited catchment audience to his views, basically students, academics, people into liberal ideology. I would imagine most of his supporters are quite well educated but he doesn't have any appeal to the dumbass cheeseburger eating American voter, and that's a big proportion of the electorate.

Rep. Ron Paul has just announced that he will not contest any new primaries. The money isn’t there and the effort doesn’t appear to be worth it. But he is not in any way giving up his strategy of collecting and persuading delegates to support him at the Republican National Convention. He is determined to go into the convention in Tampa with the second highest number of delegates and to be heard, to make a difference, and to build a movement.

So it seems he is giving up on president but still wants to build enough clout to get his issues out there and perhaps influence Romney.

Thoughts on this and the Ron Paul campaign?

“Our campaign will continue to work in the state convention process. We will continue to take leadership positions, win delegates, and carry a strong message to the Republican National Convention that Liberty is the way of the future. Moving forward, however, we will no longer spend resources campaigning in primaries in states that have not yet voted."

So really he is still contesting all of it just not spending any money.
