    whenever we get an exam at uni and they read out the regulations, it always says that you're allowed 'a bottle of water & a small packet of sweets'

    I don't eat in exams, but always chew gum (otherwise I end up clenching my jaw and get a horrible headache) and they've never had an issue with it. I just put the wrapper on the table so they can easily see it and take it off me if they want to, but they never do.

    Morning exams I normally sneak some sweets (unwrapped and silent) in my exam pencil case - as long as you make the effort to be subtle and don't distract anybody, you're probably fine.

    Lol you try not to cough when in exams when you need too? lol I try make the maximum possible noise in exams.
