Re: AQA Physics A - PHYA4 (11/06/12) - Exam thread1: I am a Physics student.(Original post by icedragon)
Rennit - The fattest troll on TSR. Don't mess with physics students man, we'll kill you!
2: You do not understand the definition of an internet troll. (Trolls do not back their arguments with mathematical rigour)
3: Me and Natninja are not the same person, we both however have ununconditional places to study Physics at Oxford.
Once you have lost your argument and have been proven wrong, do not insult people and go negging their helpeful posts. It also not helpful to people to insinuate that on an exam that has always before had 5 questiosn on section B, there is not one this time. This was your fault for not seeing the question.
Out of mere amusement, what university/college/ex-poly/nursery and course are you going to study? -
Re: AQA Physics A - PHYA4 (11/06/12) - Exam thread(Original post by natninja)
Acceleration is at a max where tension is at a max... from application of Newtons 2nd law(Original post by Rennit)
Oh yes silly me, I suppose acceleration is provided by a mystical force that is unrelated to the spring.
The tension is the force that supplies the acceleration.
Seriously, some of you guys don't have a clue.Same, I don't even recall a question asking about acceleration, it was only the resultant one. Nobody in this thread has disputed acceleration is greatest at top and bottom. You, sir, are clueless.(Original post by justanotherposter)
I really don't remember this question, unless you mean the resultant force question, which has nothing to do with max acceleration. I haven't seen any argument against max acceleration being at the amplitude, that is common knowledge. -

Re: AQA Physics A - PHYA4 (11/06/12) - Exam threadNobody cares. It's funny how you are the only two to mention a fifth question, in the whole thread, since the exam finished. I haven't negged one of your posts because I always give people a chance to prove their point. You're arguing a point that nobody is disputing.(Original post by Rennit)

You're got an unconditional offer for Physics at Oxford (funny how you know nat does as well, he hasn't exactly been a member for long), yet you can't even read my sig to note that I'm doing Physics at Sussex, having turned down Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh. I didn't really want to apply to Oxford because it is full of people like you.

Re: AQA Physics A - PHYA4 (11/06/12) - Exam threadI know rennit IRL if that helps and If you really want to know I turned down Exeter, and Imperial and have Bristol as second choice and rennit you forget, you have unconditional, I need 2 As(Original post by icedragon)

Yeah, I have a strange crazy theory that me and nat know eachother.
Let me correct that for you
Its full of people like nat and me, who know their physics and correct people when they make mistakes. You have turned this into a personal and self obsessive debate and you have begun throwing around wild insults. I say now to the people of TSR, who now is the troll?(Original post by icedragon)

Thankgod we didn't apply to Durham eh! What a farce that would of been. But hey, DURHAM IS ON A PAR WITH OXBRIDGE RIGHT!?!?!?!? -

Lol so now you know what universities have offered me do you? You've corrected nothing, just claimed you have. Have fun with that, I'm going to revise for Chemistry.(Original post by icedragon)

Good luck with chem cos it's difficult. Also, the 'corrected' is that people were arguing that the resultant force is not the minimum at the centre of the mass spring system which we were trying to show is not the case and that the resultant force at eqb. is zero. however we get anoyed at high levels of wel...(Original post by Rennit)

Re: AQA Physics A - PHYA4 (11/06/12) - Exam threadUnuncondictional? Isn't that a double negative, meaning it is actually a conditional offer?(Original post by Rennit)

Re: AQA Physics A - PHYA4 (11/06/12) - Exam threadI think it was 2 marks, would I have gotten a mark for saying B would increase. I don't think I mentioned it was because of the proportional relation.(Original post by natninja)
from equating centripetal force mv^2/r = BQv you get B=(mv)/(Qr) therefore flux is directly proportinal to the speed of the particle

Seriously, some of you guys don't have a clue.Guys I did know this, someone didn't recognize what question you were talking about so I was pointing out that the question asked where the acceleration was at a maximum. I was just stating how it was worded in the paper.(Original post by natninja)
