    Doing research wouldnt change anything, you havent presented any facts. Im not saying more damage is better but a lot of people are attracted to mma because they see it as the martial art that has the 'hardest fighters' or it is 'real fighting' what ever that means. It does look more brutal like I said because they hit each other on the ground but I was pointing out it actually isnt.

    It isnt down to lack of education wrestling is boring. It is old but that doesnt make it exciting it is just two guys lying on the floor not really moving much. You say wrestling is huge but isnt that just pro wrestling. It goes to show how boring it is that more people watch a pretend version of it than the real thing. If they were bouncing off the cage, fliping each other over it would be ok but they arent, they do a take down and then its boring for the rest of the round.
    It's not 'real' but boxing is?

    Yeah, standing there with gloves on and only hitting is much more real than full body contact wrestling. This makes perfect sense. You probably just don;t understand the technicalities, or haven't experienced such combat sport yourself. Even the groundwork is far more interesting than a lot of boxing. This coming from a fan of both sports. You say the groundwork is boring, but 50% of boxing you see one guy chasing the other around the ring letting off jabs with only around 20 seconds of interesting fighting going on.

    In the first part of my post I was refering to the arguement that mma is better because it is "real fighting" but what is real fighting? Real fighting doesnt mean anything. MMA is MMA and boxing is boxing, neither is more like real fighting than the other because real fighting doesnt mean anything.

    In the second half I was talking about pro wrestling which is pretend.

    Without letting off any spoilers...what an event! Damn that was entertaining. Still absolutely gutted Overeem wasn't fighting, feel very let down by him as I'm sure a lot of people are, but that was entertaining indeed!

    Big fan of Fedor here. He got mad skills and is one tough cookie. It'll be sad to see him retire but his fans will forever appreciate his career in MMA.

    Fedor = legend

    Cain is an animal.

    I dare anyone to watch UFC 146 and tell me that it wasn't exciting.

    I love a lot of sports but I don't know how anyone can say that ball games are more exciting than MMA.

    A great highlight with no music so you can concentrate on the skill.

    I will never get over what he did to Heath Herring - vicious GnP.

    Haha, the guy who said Boxing is more brutal needs to see the Bigfoot vs Velazquez fight, did you see the state of Silva's face! Damn man I don't think I've ever seen anyone cause that much harm without an actual sharpened weapon lol. Blood was literally pouring out of his head.

    Yeah man! Good to see Dan Hardy get a win, looked impressive. Loved how he started cheering even though he hadn't fully finish him off haha

    I didn't watch PRIDE back in the day (sadface) so I probably missed out on a lot of moments. On an unrelated note, have you read some of the articles surfaced on match-fixing in Pride? Incredibly interesting.

    A few of mine would obviously have to be Jackson Powerbomb (didn't watch it live but it was my first exposure to MMA and what got me into it) as well as the Barboza spinning heel kick on Etim, man that was awesome. Not really a moment but the entire Shogun vs Henderson fight. Not much more to be said about that fight other than legendary.

    Some of my favourite moments are both of Frank Mir's victories against Big Nog, the Showtime kick and when Diego Brandao won The Ultimate Fighter with his comeback submission, there's a lot more I just can't think of many atm
