My macbook is saving images of faces ...
I'm having a clear out at the moment and have deleted a load of photos from my mac, but I have ended up with more than before as thousands of duplicates have been made from my existing photos (including ones I have deleted) of separate faces. So, say there is a picture of me and two friends - I now have the original picture, plus three more of close ups of our faces. Does anyone have any idea how on earth I can rid of these, and prevent it from happening in the future?

I'd guess it's from face recognition software, which I know Iphoto or whatever it's called has, maybe turning that off will stop it. That's just a stab in the dark though.
Yeah it is the tagging system - I just have no idea how to stop it(Original post by there's too much love)
If I remember correctly there's a tagging system?

This is very helpful! Thanks!(Original post by iamyourmum)
There's app that you can download that removes duplicates pictures (I think iPhoto can do it as well)
I personally use photosweeper to remove duplicates
