    Masters thesis, Body Image Survey
    Hello everybody,

I am Emma and currently studying for my Masters in Psychology at LJMU, and I am currently looking for participants for my research into body image perceptions and the media influences, I am studying age ranges, 18-30 and 40-55.

I would most appreciate if you could take the time out to complete my survey, it is only a few questions and should take no more than 5 minutes.

    Many thanks.

    Emma

    Hi Emma,

I will take your survey now in the hope that you will return the favour..

I am also doing my Masters thesis and I know it is a bit of a struggle to get participants.

    Thanks for helping me out!

    4. Are there any risks / benefits involved?

It is not anticipated that completion of the questionnaires will cause you any harm, however if the issues of body image perceptions are stressful or upsetting due to personal and previous experiences for example, counselling details are available at the end of this information sheet and GP contact is strongly recommended. The questionnaire is completely compulsory; if underlying issues are a problem it is advised to avoid taking part in completion of the questionnaire.

Might want to change that to voluntary.

    Done

I am currently looking to increase the number of participants between the ages of 40-55 and would appreciate if you could forward the link to any friends/family members that wouldn't mind filling out the questionnaire.

Thanks, and thankyou to all that have filled my questionnaire out

Thankyou to everyone who has taken part in my questionnaire so far. . . it has been a great help.

I had an initial target towards numbers of participants in order to get enough in each age group. . . this was 500.

At the minute I am 16 participants off this target and my next meeting with my supervisor is tomorrow!

I would be very grateful if you could complete this questionnaire for me, if you haven't already (any age group).

    Thanks,

    Emma.

Re: Masters thesis, Body Image Survey
Big thank you to everyone who took part in my questionnaire, I got 544 participants in total with 109 in each particular age group being studied which is a great achievement, particularly in the amount of males who undertook this in relation to previous studies.

If anyone would like a summary of results from this please let me know and this can be arranged, however the thesis isn't due in until October so this will not be readily available just yet.

    Thanks again

    Emma.
