Hi everyone,

I have gotten offers from several universities now, and basically I was wondering if the other universities can see each other's offers after I've firmed one. Or if that is only the case between the firm and offer university or perhaps not at all and they only see each other's names. The reason I'm wondering is because my first choice uni has given me a lower offer than the other's while it is higher ranked by quite a bit and doesn't require me to obtain anything in my current studies while the other two do. So now I'm afraid that if I firm them and they see the other universities' offer's they might change my offer If they can only see the offer of the insurance uni I won't put down an insurance choice since the firm offer is lower and I will be going there anyway then.

PS: I have untill the 7th of June to decide.

No university can see what other universities have offered you, or even what other universities you have applied to.

Only after you have firmed and insuranced your offers and rejected the others, and I doubt they'd be interested by then.

But do you mean all the uni's can see this or only your firm and insurance?

I believe it's all of them, but I'm going to a careers advisers' conference at Leeds University next week, so I'll ask the admissions tutor there if you like. Why is it important?

Hi,

I know this is an old post so I'm just adding an answer incase anyone checks this out.

I can 100% confirm that other universities know what other courses you have applied for and when. I got an email asking me what my past modules were and when i scrolled down i got to see my entire UCAS application form which had been pasted from an admin team to the admissions tutor. Within the form it gives the uni name and course code and year of entry.

Unfortunately i cannot confirm whether they can see offers but to be honest i imagine they if they can see this much.

Yes, Universities can see where else you've applied to. Yes, if appropriate, they can see where you are holding your other F or I offer. No, they cant see the details of that other offer.

Oh yes they can.

You only have a binding contract with a Uni once you have enrolled and paid fees. Up to that point they can do what they like, including withdrawing any offer for any *sensible* reason, and cancelling the entire course if they hve to.
