    Becoming a pilot
    Hi there
It has always been an ambition of mine to become a pilot, and it is a career I am intending to peruse. However, I have become a little stuck, and the main issue I have is money, in the fact that I don't actually have any.... I have researched this and have found out that to get your fATPL you can do a modular course for around £40-50,000. I was just wondering if there was anyway that I could maybe get a scholarship for that, or there is maybe someway of getting sponsorship or a loan? (although I'm not keen on the idea of a loan :P )

In short, can i become a pilot from nothing?!?

    Thankksss! x

    No, not really!

You probably won't be able to get a loan either. It's off to work!

Look at courses like CTC Wings, Oxford Aviation and others.
They give you the training, up to ATPL level and then get you a slot with an airline. You have no choice over which airline and you're obliged to pay back the fees from your paycheques, but you're in with a decent shout of getting a job so long as you get on and pass the course.

Since 9/11, schemes have stopped. It's slowly picking up again but only a few airliners have promoted schemes. BA Future Flight program, Flybe and West Atlantic.

Yes CTC/OAA/FTE give training but don't guarantee a job even if you do integrated or modular. Save up and hope for the best
