I tried a sally hansen one and it made the hairs really obvious and pale! I'm of a darker complexion, kind of carameley brownish, so it made it really obvious when i stood in the light. If you're fair it might work well.
I want to try that (I dont really think the Jolen one works on my hairs lol), can you get it in shops? I cant see it on the boots website. Or do I have to get it off amazon/ebay?

Take your mum/sister with you the first time, explain your concerns to the lady who'll be threading your face and see how it goes. If you don't want to get your whole face done at once, try getting it done on a small area first e.g. upper lip/chin or just your eyebrows. Then see how your skin reacts to it, and note the time it takes for your hair to grow back. If everything is agreeable then go for the whole face.

Hi I'm a girl and I'm asian so this might be relevant to my problem.

Basically I have quite dark hair growing all over my body. They are really visible... On my arms and legs are the darkest, on my face, its on my back, on my stomach and on my boobs. I know it sounds digusting and this makes me really want to cry because I don't know what to do.

I keep my body fully covered. The hair on my face doesn't seem to go off easy with waxing strips anymore and are really difficult to pluck them out with tweezers. There are some really coarse hair to. The hair also grows back REALLY fast and I like see them again in 4 days I stopped waxing and use bleach but that really doesn't work anymore.

I've been to the doctor and had a blood test but there wasn't a high level of testerone but the levels of estrogeron and testerone where very low. The doctor said I didn't have POS and there was not much she could do. I really felt like dying after she told me there because that was really my last hope of solving my hair problem.

I know I'm going to get some troll comments but this is really affecting my self esteem badly... I just sat and looked at my hair infront of the mirror for 2 hours instead of revising

    Please help!
Hey, my mum and aunt both used laser hair removal treatments and although my mum's quite fair for an asian woman my aunt isn't. Unless you have certain health problems the removal is permanent and you can just get a woman to come and do it in the privacy of your own home. It takes a few long sessions but the results are awesome and it improves your skin aswell. Some people with sensetive skin SOMETIMES get scarring but it's relatively risk free and everyone i've seen looks perfect. You shouldn't feel too down about it, it's a common problem in asian women (but not what i'd call normal in general)
I'm getting he same treatment myself when I have enough money as I have the same problem. My 15 year old sister's the same and i'm 19. Hope you feel better and that this helps xx

I've read that if you apply a paste of chick pea flour, honey, milk and turmeric powder to your skin everyday for a few months, it eventually make your body hair grow a lot finer and lighter, and it is generally good for your skin.

Since your mum is Asian, she may not have any problems with you using natural ingredients.

    I hope this helps

    I used this epilator: http://www.braun.com/uk/female-groom...lk-epil-7.html
I didn't really think it work because it tended to cut the hair. I used it on my arms too and I found that no hairs get pulled it near shoulders.

I dont think there is a epilator for the face...? Cant seem t find one
If you use the Braun wet and dry epilator it comes with an attatchment so you can use it on the face. I use it on my upper lip And since an epilator is abut 42 tweezers on a rotator it plucks the hairs out. more painful than waxing but it can cover more specific areas.x

You could try Dianette? It's a contraceptive pill but apparently it can also reduce the growth of body hair.

I'm really sorry you are going through all this. I would definitely see another doctor. There is something you can do about it. Like one person said, laser hair removal is very affected. It works on black hair only though (I have no clue why).

You could also try electrolysis which is just like laser but fewer risks. It stings abit while you're having it done but not properly painful at all x

My Aunt recommends this. She's had it done and says it works well.
